BAYLOR NURSING SCHOOL DEVELOPMENT VIDEOS

THE JOB

In the summer of 2014, the Baylor Nursing School hires me to be the Assistant to the Marketing Director. They decide to have me produce a slew of videos covering topics that range from alumni spotlights to summer mission trips. Total cost to Baylor per video: less than $200. Now that's a good deal.

My duties included equipment setup, shooting raw footage, collecting B-roll, editing sequences, and exporting the final files for site upload.

BAYLOR NURSING ALUMNI SPOTLIGHTS

The Value of a Baylor Education. Taking time our of her busy nurse schedule, Jordan spends an hour sharing a few words about her undergraduate experience.
A Baylor Diploma. Jordan discusses what it means to have received a Baylor diploma from the Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing.

WHAT'S A FASTBACC? - WHITEBOARD VIDEO

When an FAQ isn't Enough. At Baylor Nursing, there are two Bachelor degree tracks. Problem is, they're a little hard to explain. My soultion is to create a whiteboard explanation video that clearly explains the differences between the two degree tracks.

BAYLOR MISSION TRIPS

Good News about The Good News. One of Baylor's top priorities is service. And a large draw for students is commitment to global engagement. Therefore, I help create short informational videos highlighting Baylor's work around the world in order to encourage students to attend these trips.

VIRTUAL CAMPUS TOUR & A WEEK IN THE LIFE OF A NURSING STUDENT

The College Experience away from College. Because Baylor's nursing school isn't located on its main undergraduate campus, many prospective students ask, "OK, so what does the campus actually look like?" To answer this question (and to give the tour guides a little break), I produce a digital campus tour.
Is Nursing School Really that Tough?  We'll let you decide for yourself. In order to give prospective students an idea of whether a nursing degree is right for them, I film and edit a "Day in the Life" video. My supervisor and I have fun collaborating with current students to show the hectic yet rewarding life of a nursing student.

NURSING INSTRUCTION VIDEOS

Ever Wanted to Work an IV Pump?  Now you can! My job on this project is to shoot the footage and then intercut close-ups with wide-angle shots when appropriate.
How to Perform a Patient Check.  Similar to the other video, I set up the camera, film the demonstration, and then export the video so that the professor can distribute the file over the class website.
